- Subspecialty Ophthalmic interest is Ocular Oncology
- Is in a private Ophthalmic practice in Chatswood
- In 1987 Dr Giblin became the first Ophthalmic surgeon is Australia to complete formal fellowship training in the management of eye cancer and simulating conditions. This training was undertaken at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia
- Immediately prior to this training, Dr Giblin underwent one year working as a locum consultant Ophthalmic surgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge
- Is currently a VMO at Sydney Eye Hospital and operates at Ophthalmic Surgery Centre, Chatswood
- Current chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Ophthalmic Surgery Centre Chatswood
- While Ophthalmology is his vocation, conjuring is his avocation
